Luce and Elena Richardson - as depicted in my Doom fanfic "Day of Wrath" - showing everyone how to defeat evil: with faith, prayer, and a big fucking magic blast.
Inspired by the fact that the two have similar character themes of religion and devotion, though Elena has the additional trait of being a fully-qualified doctor and scientist. Though taking the place of a sorcerer's staff, her astrolabe (design still in development) is as much a scientific/astronomical tool as it is a holy artifact.
Rather than being torn between religion and science, Elena is meant to be analogous to early Renaissance scientists like Galileo, Copernicus, and Newton, seeing science as an expression of her faith and study of God's creation.
