This skin is based on the Augmented Reaction Suit from the video game Vanquish, a fun-ish scifi third-person shooter from 2010 by PlatinumGames, just a few years before they'd become renown for Metal Gear Rising.
I say fun-ish because Vanquish does have a fun core gameplay loop and that trademark Platinum energy and ludicrousness, but the game tends to get repetitive with limited enemy variety, same-y visuals, and a vapid story. It's basically Metal Gear Rising without the charm, wacky story, and fun characters.
You can still get it cheap on Steam for only 20 bucks, so if you have some time to kill, I do recommend you play it at least once.

The ARS is actually a pretty interesting as a videogame exosuit, as it grants the otherwise human user extraordinary levels of strength, speed, and agility, able to jet-slide along the ground, employ highly versatile bullet-time, and rival large battle mechs. Other than regenerating health, it also possesses the highly adaptable BLADE system, a single weapons platform that can configure itself on the battlefield into a variety of firearms, such as machine guns, shotguns, rocket launchers, etc.
