Though not depicted in the iconic first ST film (which takes place at the start of the First Bug War), this type of power armor was introduced during the Second Bug War (filmwise ST 3, Invasion, and Traitor of Mars). Once reserved for special forces during the First Bug War (especially the Marauders), this Power Suit became standard-issue for all Mobile Infantry troopers following the Battle of Kwalasha.
This suit is modular and can be outfitted with various attachments or even scavenged from viable fragments on the battlefield. Dual shoulder attachments can equip a gatling gun and missile launcher (for pesticide missiles, cluster missiles, or tactical nukes). A HUD enables auto-targeting and smart firing, while jump jets enable hovering and verticality.

Despite not being as durable as the novel or anime depictions, this armor is still powered, enhancing user strength and speed while offering additional defense and full protection in a vacuum.
