This skin is actually inspired by early Forerunner concepts by Bungie from Halo 4, particularly ideations of the Didact. References included:

The Doomblade has taken the form of a Promethean hard-light blade, and the shoulder-launcher is based on the Cindershot from Halo Infinite.
